THE STORY BEHIND THE SYMBOLS
The architecture of Avra Imperial Beach Resort & Spa is inspired by the structural features of the Minoan palaces. Engraved symbols are to be found all over the hotel, both inside and in the surrounding grounds. These symbols are the letters of the Linear B Script, which was the written language of the Minoans and Mycenaeans, and is the first known written language, not only of the wider geographical region of Greece, but also of Europe.
