First International Conference on Mesenchymal Cells in Health & Disease

  • When: 06/03/2022 - 06/08/2022

  • Where: Chania, Crete, Greece

  • Conference Center: Avra Imperial Hotel & Conference Center

  • Mandated: Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine for all participants. If your COVID-19 vaccine was more than 180 days of the conference, proof of a booster (3rd dose) will be required.

During the past decade, developments in mouse targeting technologies, single cell analysis and lineage tracing methodologies have advanced our understanding in mesenchymal cell biology in physiological and pathological conditions. Recent studies in the field have identified an unprecedented heterogeneity in mesenchymal cell populations, a variety of functions that surpasses their well-established structurally supportive role, as well as a multitude of intracellular signaling pathways that affect their properties, their activation capacity and their complex interaction with their respective microenvironment. The increased interest in the unique properties of this cell type has led to their proposed utilization both for diagnostic purposes and as targets for novel therapeutic applications in a variety of organs and disease states.

The aim of this conference is to bring together basic and clinical specialists who are focused on contemporary and emerging aspects of mesenchymal/stromal cell biology. The interdisciplinary program will provide an integrated view of the identities and properties of mesenchymal cells in different tissues and situations, stimulate interactions and provide opportunities to discuss novel concepts in mesenchymal cell research across different fields.
